Charnley Signs With Wolves

Dual code winger, Josh Charnley, has made a shock return to Rugby League after signing an 18 month contract with the Warrington Wolves.

Charnley made over 150 appearances for Wigan in his 6 years with the Lancashire side, scoring 149 tries, alongside making 8 England appearances and scoring 9 tries.

Sale granted Charnley immediatte release stating " we have a highly competitive squad here at Sale and Josh's desire was to play every week and we couldn't guarantee him that."

Charnley made 32 appearances for the Sharks in his 2 years with the club and has said "There wasn't much persuasion needed. I know a few boys here who speak highly of this club so it wasn't a tough decision to put pen to paper" when talking about his decision to sign with the Wolves.
