Warriors make Gelling Official

New Zealand Warriors sign for Wigan centre Anthony Gelling to a year contract.

As reported earlier today the Warriors have confirmed the signing of Anthony Gelling.

Gelling was one of the young Roosters under 20s players who were sacked for defecating in a hotel room back in 2010. Since then he has matured and developed not just as a player, but as a person too.

Gelling was released by Wigan on compassionate grounds so he could return to his native New Zealand and be with his girlfriend who was involved in a car accident.

Gelling is no stranger to the Warriors club turning out for their NSW Cup side before his stint in England.

Along with playing 114 games for Wigan he has represented Cook Islands 6 times.

Gelling will add some experience to the centre and backrow positions.
