Interview: Greenshields Talks Catalans

Former Catalans Dragons fullback, Clint Greenshields, spoke recently with us at RLATG about the upcoming season at the Dragons and some fond memories of the club.

Greenshields enjoyed 6 years with the French club, after signing from the St George-Illawarra Dragons in 2007, in his Super League career he would accumulate 146 appearances and 84 tries.

When asked about how he sees the 2018 season going for the Dragons, he approached the question cautiously, saying "It's always hard to predict, but if they keep their top 20 players fit and injury free, they should be a top 8 side. I think the depth in the juniors has improved, so there will be some good young guys getting a run, especially over the Easter period."

Clint also highlighted a few player's who he believes will be key in 2018, once more he stressed the importance of the youth system at the French club, saying "All the young players that came over to World Cup will benefit from the experience and be better. I think Jas baitieri will have a big year along with Birdy (Greg Bird) as they are senior players and need to lead by example. I also think David mead is a great buy and will do a great job."

To wrap up, we had a trip down memory lane, when asked about his favourite memory at the club, he struggled to choose "Way too many to pick one. Playing at Wembley would be a highlight for sure, the try against London after the bell. The try against St. Helens after the bell."

For those who don't remember, here's a clip of the try.
