Year in review 2017: South Sydney Rabbitohs

If you asked most rugby league fans South Syndeys finals chances were over before the end of game 1 with Inglis going down with an ACL injury that would see him miss the rest of the season. And in recent weeks the clubs poor performance throughout the season seen the sacking of Premiership winning coach Michael McGuire.

South Sydney did have the odd brillant game included a convincing win late in the season over the Penrith Panthers that seen Alex Johnson score 5 tries. But the side struggle to hold onto any form with constant injuries hitting the side throughout the season.

It's no surprise when the Burgess twins Tom and George decided to stamp their authority in a match the Rabbits would walk away with the 2 points more times than not, but unfortunately for the fans the brothers didn't seem to hit their straps until the clubs finals chances were gone.

New signing Robbie Farah didn't live up to expectation as the club seem to perform better on the field while Damien Cook was controlling the ruck.

To cap the season off, one of if not the Rabbits best player Angus Crichton who will be wearing a sky blue jersey sooner rather than later has decided that 2018 will be his last season at the club.

Notable signings: Gagai
Notable loses: Goodwin, Gray, Tyrrell

With a new coach, the return of GI, the introduction of Gagai into the side and Crichton wanting to leave the club on a high, Souths fans will be hopefully of an injury free season that will have them signing Glory Glory all the way to Grand Final day.
