Storm Prepared To Take Gamble On Earl

The Melbourne Storm are rumoured to be prepared to extend a further lifeline to returning winger, Sandor Earl.

Earl will miss most of the 2018 season due to an ACL injury, sustained in a training session, just a couple of weeks into preseason training for his return.

It's being reported that Melbourne coaching staff have been so impressed by Earl's motivation and commitment to his return, that they are considering a contract extension for 2019.

The deal would see Earl's contract extend by a further year, in an effort to give the controversial winger, an improved chance of rekindling his career after a 4 year exodus from the NRL on a doping ban.

It's a big gamble by the Storm, but credit to the club for truly giving him a shot.
