Rugby League was briefly back with a host of clubs in action, with some debutantes on show for both sides, here's how the sides lined up.

Subs: 14 Jack Walker, 15 Cameron Smith, 16 Mikolaj Oledzki, 17 Owen Trout, 18 Josh Jordan-Roberts, 19 Harry Newman.

The Rhinos would open the scoring after the fifteen minute mark, Jordan Lilley probing the defensive line before finding a pass to send Brad Singleton crashing over, Myler adding the extras.

Wakefield would respond though, Kyle Wood earning the home side field position from a 40/20, Ben Jones-Bishop would get into the corner off the back of a scrum play, Batchelor unable to convert from the touch line. The teams would go into the sheds at 6 points to 4.

The second half would become an arm wrestle, until Jack Ormenroyd would bust through the Wakefield line and show a good turn of pace to race home from 30 metres out, Leeds unable to convert the kick.

Just four minutes later, Oledzki would grab a try of his own, to take the game further out of Wakefield's reach, Sutcliffe adding the extras to make it 16-4 with 20 minutes to go.

Wakefield would hit back through Joe Arundel, a walk in for the centre from a good pass from new boy, Ryan Hampshire, to set up a grand stand finish, especially with Batchelor converting the kick to make it a 6 point ball game.

Wakefield would go close through Arundel with minutes to play, Leeds full Aston Golding holding him up inches short, and when Jordan Lilley would hit a 1-pointer with 3 minutes to play, the game was sealed.
