Walmsley On The Watch List

A host of NRL sides are reportedly keen on getting their hands on England and St Helens forward Alex Walmsley.

The clubs rumoured to be in the running for the 115 kilo powerhouses' signature are; The St George Illawarra Dragons, Parramatta Eels, Wests Tigers and the Newcastle Knights.

St George are favourites to successfully sign the big man, if an NRL move is to go through, he would join England team mates Gareth Widdop and former St Helens man James Graham, so there is no surprise they have been declared as the front runners.

Walmsley is hot property on the market for obvious reasons, he was Super League's leading metre maker last season with a total of 4256 running metres. In his short England career he has made 414 metres in just 3 games and even got himself a try.

At the moment this is all speculation, it could come to something or it could not. Many people have tipped Walmsley to be the new Adrian Morley, which is a title that speaks volumes, if he does make the move to the other side of the world. All we do know is that we are yet to see the best of this Goliath of a man, but when we do we are in for a real treat.
